BIG BLEND - A professional parallel routing matrix that solves the classic problem of heavy effects and distortion causing bass guitars to lose their attack and fundamental frequencies in the band mix.
BIG BLEND combines a parallel, clean dry signal for ultimate clarity and foundation with the processed signal from your send/return FX loop. This allows you to blend a clean low-end that remains clear and punchy with a highly saturated or modulated wet signal, without losing clarity or becoming muddy.
Advanced features:
- LPF (Low-Pass Filter) - A sweepable low-pass filter on the dry path allows you to filter out high and midrange frequencies from the clean signal. This focuses the dry path strictly on sub-bass frequencies and low-end definition, while the FX loop carries the character of your effects.
- HPF (High-Pass Filter) - A sweepable high-pass filter on the loop send cuts unnecessary low frequencies before they reach your effects. This ensures that guitar overdrive pedals used on bass do not become overloaded by sub-bass frequencies, preventing unwanted high-frequency harshness or low-frequency distortion.
- GND LIFT - A ground lift switch eliminates hum and background noise caused by ground loops between your amplifier, DI box, and pedal power supply.
- PHASE - A phase switch inverts the polarity of the loop return to prevent phase cancellation and eliminate unwanted frequency dropouts when mixing the wet and dry signals.
- Output EQ - Volume, Bass, and Treble controls placed after the mixing stage allow you to fine-tune your final sound before it reaches the amplifier or DI box.
